Job Description
Digital Asset Specialist
As the Digital Asset Specialist, you will team up with the Digital Asset group to make sure our digital assets are easy to find, easy to use, and well organized. You will create and update metadata, keep standards on track, and regularly review assets to make sure everything's in good shape. You will manage branded content like graphics, product and lifestyle images, and videos in our DAM (Digital Asset Management) system. Your role helps keep our digital experiences running smoothly by making sure the right assets are always ready when teams need them.

This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you'll do
  • Maintain and audit descriptive and technical metadata for all asset types within the DAM.
  • Ensure metadata schemas consistently align with internal standards and industry best practices
  • Enable enterprise users to efficiently locate assets that support on-brand marketing initiatives, increase asset reuse, and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Manage quality control for assets entering the DAM and provide reporting on trends, user behavior, and asset updates.
  • Analyze audit trends, incorporating end-user feedback, and share industry insights with teammates.

Basic qualifications
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Project coordination experience in high volume environment
  • Experience working on Mac systems

Preferred qualifications
  • 6 months of experience with Adobe Creative Suite, and basic Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
  • 6 months of experience working knowledge of content/metadata cataloging practices
  • 1 year experience in digital asset management, data entry or library science
  • Knowledge of metadata or taxonomy standards.
